A photography series completed while studying abroad in Venice. The desire was to subtly allude to the complexity of the modern issue of mass tourism as it pertains to Venetian life. Venice has become globally renowned for specific landmarks, which has led in recent years to an overwhelming influx of tourists with a hive minded goal of only visiting and photographing the famous sights. The series is an attempt to draw attention to just how much more the floating city has to offer by focusing on, and displaying the value and beauty, of graffiti adorning the venetian alleyways – a phenomenon that is the antithesis of the scenery that the tourists covet.
